Phra Somdej Nork Pim, We call Phra Somdej Wat Rakang and other temples in Somdej Phra Buddhacharn Toh Phomarangsi’s family which aren’t included in 5 popular Print Molds or Pim Ni Yom:(Pim Phraprathan or Pim Yai, Pim Song Chedi, Pim Khes Bua Toom, Pim THarn Saem and Pim Prok Bodhi). Actually, honorable Somdej Phra Bhuthacharn Toe Bhrammarangsri approximately made phrasomdej amulets around 2390-2400 B.E. (1847-1857) as the first period.
The first period, the printed molds were sculptured by grass root people around the temple, so they didn’t state in gracefully prints.*** That was the reason why we called (Phra Nork Pim: Those printed molds have not been included in PiM NI Yom), but what does the word "pim ni yom" mean?
The word Ni Yom means poppular, so those popular might be concerned with the marketing or market system or promotions. However,something unpopular can be the best in usage.
In the aspect of the content, during that time, the honorable Somdej Toe tried to investigate the best formula of lime mixers in each batch/ mortar. Thus we found various styles of phrasomdej that time by helping of people around the temple. However, most of the amulets in first period decay or disappear because instability of content mixers.
However, everyone who loves and indeed knows Phrasomdej always uses Phra Nok Pim because everybody believes in the supernatural power in every aspects such as protection, prosperity, wealthy, healthy, charming,etc. The wise said he had much confidence that he occupied the true amulet because the artificial fake one almost were sculptured along Pim Ni Yom. He has just ensured in considering about the amulets content.
